These flowed sequences may also be achieved by augmenting the descent speeds.

Such instructions to achieve this include:

MX - Maximum Cruise, Descent Speed
CSR - Cancel STAR Speed Restrictions
PISSOFF - Pilot Initiated STAR Speed until Over the Final Fix
