in terms of exams your fixed wing commercials probably should cover you for the PPL(H)
I think the only ones you will have to do will be
Helicopter PofF and Helicopter tech which is covered in the type rating oral for your 1179
but like de man say, check CAP54
there is no such thing as a category like single-engine piston land for heliocopeters, for each type you want to fly you need an 1179.
If you get hooked you'll end up with lots of type ratings
And lots of new experiences much more interesting than a night Corfu - LHR at 1000ft from south to north via the helilanes - awesome!
Forget what all the fixed wing types say. If the truth be known, secretly they're jealous and they're not sure they could do it.
