Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your question. I worked for PDG and before that PLM helicopters for 7 years in the late 1990s. Wots it like.. it varies between pish and brilliant it can and should be the best rotary job you will find. BUT, commercial pressure makes it tough at times. When I joined the company was run by John Poland and Dave Clem, both enigmatic and super blokes. They are not on the scene anymore and the suits have control.
If you want a decent quality of life keep away from it, I am now in the airline world and I can assure you that the quality of life is better. If you are in it for the flying then go ahead, but be warned, it is not an old mans game or one for the faint hearted.
