Hi there. All I can think of is untick the 'Hang up after sending and receiving' box.
Think it can be found in Tools/Options/Connections.
Have you done a full blown virus scan? That, if updated, will tell you if you have a virus or not or do a Hijack this and post the result here for people to see.
