Rows 1 and 2 on Concorde wern't reserveable; the folks who would be assigned those seats were chosen just before boarding. This is because the VVIPs were given those seats...

Naomi Campbell flew on Concorde fairly often but wasn't a popular passenger with either the flight crews or the ground staff.

On her last Concorde flight, she checked in and was provisionally assinged a seat in row 25, which didn't worry her because just before boarding, she'd be given a seat in row 1, or occasionally row 2.

But she ended up in row 25, was not happy so she complained to the CSD.

The CSD replied "I'm sorry Ms. Campbell but we couldn't give you a seat in rows 1 or 2, because, on this flight we have some important people traveling."
