Don't mind Medwin, he's a tad bitter and jaded about CX.
Anyway you'll find that competition here in the US is, to say the least, fierce. The last time I spoke to the ladies in Flightcrew Recruitment, and this was in April, they said that to have a chance at a DEFO slot in the US you had to have at least 5500TT and over 4000 Turbine. They're getting that without any problems by the looks of things.
Your time would put you at the top of the DESO pool, although there have been exceptions, from what I have seen.
The best thing to do is simply apply and see what happens.
