HOGE : Yeah, I’d considered the streamer but there is the possibility that the potential culprit may be wearing dark sunglasses at that time and may be prevented from seeing anything in particular except for the blurred outline of the helicopter.
The other side of that is if he does a daily before a night flight (nightly?) in the same manner as his daytime daily, (probably from the crew room) then an alternative warning would be needed.
Maybe a good old-fashioned dose of vigilance, discipline and arse kicking would help but the “problem child” or the guy having a “bad hair day” will eventually slip through the safety net of training.
