(a) A main rotor tie down latch that releases …
before 50% N1 is obtained on start up … (well before)
(b) And/or a warning light that warns the pilot if the main rotor is tied/tethered.
Warm Feeling: B206.
(a) In conjunction with the above improvement (b), a mechanical hand, attached to the instrument panel that will throttle the mongrel if he attempts to hit the start button while the warning light is illuminated … and … then if all that fails to prevent a start attempt …
(b) An automatic electronic door lock will “arm” so that when he finally gets out to untie the rotor he will be locked out of the helicopter, so that he can not possibly get back in to try another start until, of course, about half a million dollars is spent, to repair the damage from his first start attempt!
