Red face

Very sorry to hear this, having worked alongside BWA's ground staff and flight crews in Aberdeen for the last 2 years on the Scatsta operation, and they are all a great bunch. Hopefully there will be some sort of solution to all this.

I am wondering though if this may have a relationship with the recent cost cutting by the oil/helicopter companies in the last few years (as BWA were contracted to Bristow) when the contract was given to BWA, surely the airline should be able to survive on the given amount, unless BWA's base in Southend were doing things differently.

I dont see how this would change the oil companies need for Scatsta. They just need to have fixed-wings to get up there and that should be found in the not too distant future. I'm sure Brymon would be the prime candidate should there be no aid to BWA on this operation. There have been their Dash-8's up there recently when BWA didnt have any crews at the weekend. Also chartered ATR-42's during the same circumstances. I'm sure the operation will be greatly affected if operating through Sumburgh for the next while, so catching up on the flights offshore will be hectic to say the least.

Again, hope things are sorted out quickly.
