The LGW 737 Command can be achieved currently at about eight years. From the seniority quoted by Flying Tom, he's looked at the "grandfather" commands of the ex CityFlyer captains. If they leave LGW 737s, they'll lose their commands as they won't be senior enough on other fleets.
By the time anyone joining today gets to command level, expect 12 years to a 737 LGW command, 13-14 years for LHR shorthaul and 19+ for LHR longhaul.
