BA - 8 years to 777 Command?

Just spoke to a buddy who was interviewed by BA recently - They told him Command on Short-Haul is 5-6 years. Command on the 777 is 8 Years and the 747-400 is 12 years!

I trust he got it in writing And whose name signed it??
