as lowerlobe says - if the faaa had of been reacting to the LHR base announcement with their head rather than their bovver boy egos - they would have supported and improved the pay and conditions and ensured EVERY position in London was filled by an Australian based crew member .there would have been NO UK nationals employed and the conditions could have been maintained in line with Aust based crew. As it is, 200 UK nationals are there now and they are real Aust. f/a jobs gone out the window.
to split hairs between short and long haul numbers on the base now is ridiculous . MH has achieved his goal of "all -haul" flying .
