One of the main reason that thr recently announced KL/BA codesahre is so limited and for only 6 months is the lack of UK/US openskies. The Dutch and KLM do not want to enter into anything that would jeopardize the US/Dutch openskies and the KL/NW antitrust immunity in the US. The problem still is the lack of openskies in the UK. Until this matter is resolved, BA will not be able to do much in the US, with another US carrier and a great many airlines, airports and countries in europe. Talk about isolationism!!! There must be openskies---pure and simple. PERIOD!!!
