TGWU support-staff members at GG and BA with their working practices and rewarded idleness seem reminiscent of the print unions of old. Because of this they are looking down the gun barrel right now. Reality is closing on them as surely as the truck bearing down on the blinded rabbit in its headlights. This might be the beginning of their end. Have you seen the passenger comments and experiences currently posting on the BBC news website? It's not GG that's taking the brunt of it - it's BA whose only fault was putting its catering out to a contractor. Whatever its faults - and God knows they are many - BA are barely to blame. This is like the bad old days of British Leyland, Grunwick and Wapping all over again. When will some of these no hopers come into the 21st century. It might not be easy here - but if you play a fair game, and return a fair day's effort for a fair day's pay -almost all of us are better off than our forefathers could ever have dreamed of being.
