Give me a break,LHR base was set up to undermine Australian conditions first and foremost.We were and still are arguably the most profitable airline on the block.That was before Romper Room was set up and still is even though the set cost of LHR is rumoured to be at least 3 times the estimated start up cost and with all the other costs that they didn't think of.
If LHR was set up to save on accomodation and misc. costs why are they slipping you guys for 3 and 4 days in BKK,SIN and HKG...so much for that theory as well as the costs of the Thais slipping in LHR for 5 days at a time...gee that saves a heap doesn't it !!!
Have a look at the conditions you signed on for with LWOP...Did they guarantee you the same job in the same location when you get back..NO and as for why they will not pay their Australian obligation for superannuation is another matter...
Another beauty is question 3 on your application form:
Do you agree to legal changes at short notice to your rostering??
WTF does that mean? legal in what country and to what exactly
So don't give me any of that sanctimonious rubbish about ensuring QF's survivability,it is about Bonus's and undermining Australian crews conditions.
If you believe what the company tells you and you obviously do then you also probably believe in the tooth fairy and Santa as well.
