Dixon Disciple..Peanut Pusher;

What has my question about crew having a quiet drink after a long flight got to do with shorthaul ?

This is Longhaul,not shorthaul but I think quite a few LHR crew are thinking of LHR as another shorthaul base.getover it guys QF paid $400 million for S/H not the other way around !!!

What a load of nonsense about the techies going without a drink on the way to the pub !!!They would riot .!!! Are you sure you are not ex S/H. !!! Not even compactor shoe CSM would say no to crew drinks on the way to the pub.

If you are really that connected you would know that the JFK services are making a mint in freight and the A/C is sitting all day in LA doing nothing as jettlager has pointed out.The company is simply using this line as an excuse to try and get us to transit instead of slipping in New York

If you had done any JFK's in the last 12 months they did have substantial loads but the pax are the icing on the cake,the company is making a killing out of the freight.It is just another company spin that people like you fall for everytime.It is a wonder that you don't still believe in the flat earth theory as well.

It is you that does not get it,QF is like any other large orginisation that put's a spin on anything that they consider to be of importance to their reputation.

If you want a perfect example of the company spending a huge( over $100million ) amount to create a false impression ,look at what they did with the worlds most expensive golf buggy.

If they went to that much trouble in BKK how much do you think they would say and do to make the LHR base look like it is working.GD's reputation is on the line here.If you want to see someone who does not have any idea,look in a mirror.

EASTERNBOY;

It has been accepted practice in L/H to have a quiet drink on the way to the pub.It is not in public and we have not just flown domestically within the same time zone(basically) so it has always been allowed.
