Must admit, not blanketing all QF SYD/MEL/BNE/PER long haul crew, but was in Singapore a few days ago and as usual in the hotel foyer there is always tonnes of QF and BA crew coming in and out, i had never seen such scruffy looking crew than the QF long haul crew that were there. To be honest it was embarrassing! Ok, fair enough at the end of a duty, but these guys were only just going out! (It's not hard to look like we're supposed to uniform wise). I was standing nearby and this youngish long haul crew member said to us, "You must be London crew heading out", i said why? he replied with "Because you all look good, so fresh and happy. "I said no, we're actually PER crew and we've just finished(short sector). I then saw London based crew going out later that night and they were immaculate and looked fantastic!
I know this is off the topic, but my first contact with LHR crew, so just thought i'd post it.
Can someone maybe tell me why A LOT of crew find it so hard to look like they're supposed to? as said before, it really isn't that hard, plus if you can't manage to wear the uniform properly, you're actually bringing the look of the whole crew down.
