Mmm, now I really am stuck! Have tried your suggestion, manually configured Norton (it is the 2005 version with f/wall etc) and also tried telling it to permit all, inbound/outbound etc. But, still no joy.....
Refuses to check email, unless I disable it
Have also checked MS Firewall which is off, just leaving Norton as the firewall.
All was fine until recently, so I'm a wee bit lost now
