And to YG I'd ask, why should those 'committed number' put their head above the parapet etc, if they don't have further demonstrable solid backing from significant other numbers of non union members?
That's why I bother to pay my dues and be a member of the union. The other non-union types can kiss my rosy behind. The fact is they wouldn't complain if the local union was making them a good deal, they'd just sit back and enjoy the free ride. The reality is that the union is struggling to get them a good deal in the face of an intractable and greed-driven executive, so somehow its all the unions fault. If that means they won't join the union, well more fool them.

I can see the writing on the wall, so I'm leaving my company. Things will only get worse not better in EZY, and that is solely down to clever manipulation of the workforce by divide and conquer. The overwhelming selfish apathy among the pilots suggests that many of the members and non-members alike are either happy to just have a job, and therefore will roll over and take it, or they are genuinely ignorant of the management agenda and think everything's going to be just dandy in the end.

Wake up guys! By the time the alarm bells really start ringing the stable door will be hanging off its hinges and the horse will be well and truly bolted.
