I tried that when I had about two or three navs to do before PPL flight test... in four full days that I spent at the airfield, I managed a grand total of one hour in the circuit...
that weather bogeyman just wouldn't leave me alone, dammit!!!
Unfortunately that's what you've gotta do when you're juggling work and uni and flying all at the same time...
