If it's "fact" then there would be a hint of concern, with Dermot Manion gone and the rumour of Gary Chapman possibly for CEO of Air NZ (I would be v happy for him to take the reins of EK) then something is up. No ****. Never met Dermot, met Gary and always heard positve things about him and had Tim up on flight deck for a while and have to say I was impressed with the man and his knowledge. Excuse me for the guys that have direct bad experiences with him but this was not mine. Sometimes I listen to the troops esp new ones mouthing off that "so & so" never visit the flight deck...well did you politely /personally invite them would be my question. Anyway that's not what you asked! The negative would be that we would have lost 3 leaders...better the devil you know and all that with all the competion out there (internally & externally) OR they are super smart cookies and sowing there moles in other airlines / parts of the world!
If I had a dirham to bet then I would support the later! Food for thought.
