This thread is incredibly long and long-lived; the reason being that the main protagonists are actually in love with the country that you have adopted due to the fact that it pays more than anywhere else. Even those who have left for greener pastures (not).
You came for the money and now are involved in spending 50% of the time bagging Japan and 50% of the time expounding the joys of living in the most interesting country in the world.
OK Japan made some major blunders in WWII but they were a fascist state at the time as was Germany and Italy (I don't see this being dragged up in Pprune).
Yes Kouzumi needs to get the boot from politics as he purpetuates the WWII myth though the shrine visits, that will happen I hope soon due to pressure from China.
