The last time I flew from Blackpool was on a BIA Handley Page Herald to the IOM.
I can remember Blackpool’s old wooden but cosy terminal, which only disappeared a few years ago after years of sterling service. The replacement building always struck me as being unfinished with its bare breezeblock walls. The outside of the building seems to have a rust problem due to the salt air so maybe the new building should be made out of plastic!
