Hi, I don't know about schools in Colorado but I think you can train on the M1 visa anywhere, although that visa doesn't allow you to do the hour building the J1 does, going to a J1 school lets you do the hour building but to qualify I believe you can have no more than a PPL and 50 additional hours.
