in the 70s and 80s they used to be lots of ex air force guys, in the 90s and this last years, only 10 pilots of almost 200 were ex air force guys. The max age is 30 years olds this days. Sometimes they take up to 40 years old if they require type rated guys but is not usual (less than 20 percent of new pilots are typed and there are still some 737 typed guys in the market) , they prefer to type you to mantain control of the training standards.
