Go for it and don't look back, just do it. It's also likely that you will get hooked on this in your first flight lesson , at least I did and now some $80k poorer with licence in hand but no job in sight, I'm still happy with my decision to go for it.
Flying is just the best thing u can do with your pants on
and to TheFlyingSquirrel, I totally agree with you about these " old grizzlys who are always complaining and whineing about how bad their jobs are, the jobs we dream of.
