Roadtrip, the FO was pilot flying, the IP on the left side and, apparently, his first time in Anchorage, and the DE in the jump seat. And all of them ex-air force.. . Could it be that the DE, within all his experience, wisdom and majesty was guiding the FO instead of following the airport diagram? After all, he might have been there a thousand times and knew the airport perfectly by day and night.
