There's illegal shooting of Mr Archdales Grouses (Grand Larceny) and Pheasant Philtering, AND of course proles loose on the moors enjoying fresh air (treason, should be back in the workhouse, mixing the blacking).

There was the funny (??) case a couple of years ago when a pilot flying from Sheffield (and not familiar with the Peak District aircraft wreck "scene") saw an aircraft wreck on the moors and some people waving at him (well you wave at passing aircraft if you have been let out of the blacking factory for the day ...)

Stimulated quite a ASR search ...

Imagine what a helicopter 'down' on the moors would do.

NB remember the bylaws preclude landing of aircraft on access land so it would be a Police matter. Hang gliders have licensed / approved places to launch from, which is why they are allowed.
