I admire such an intention to switch from the airlines to a job in the helicopter industry. Although I would suggest you take on a free-lance helicopter job. Since the helo industry oscillates in the payment quite tremendously.
Other than, I am an almost 3000hr pilot on rotorcraft, but would not give it up for a job in the airline industry. Itīs like this. Whatever makes you happy in life you gotta go for if there is a niche or window opportunity for you.
