Orange has become the traditional colour world wide to identify flight test gubbinry.
Orange wiring looms/harnesses, orange 'black boxes' etc and if the boffins/engineers had their way TPs and FTEs would all have to be orange.
So the orange rails are unlikely to be a production fitment.
Does anyone know how the orange identifier started?
It may have been that the French SFIM data recorders were initially produced in this colour.
