3, 4 or even 5 years to a wide bodied command? Come on, get real. All of us did around 12 to 15 years to get into the left seat of a wide body. Just wait your time, do your apprenticeship, have a laugh and enjoy the layovers!

Seriously, whilst I empaphise, your Boeing colleagues had to wait whilst the Airbus chaps were upgraded, now it's your turn to wait. How long? A few more months, maybe even as long a sa year. If you can't wait that long, then by all means go back to the UK and the wonderful lifestyle that the lo cost carriers can give you.
