My favourite travelling celebrity was Sir Trevor McDonald enroute back from Baghdad via Amman to London before the Second Gulf War. He was effusive, engaging and not at all a 'star anchor'.Trevor said that the Iraqi people were resiliant and Trevor seemed resigned that a conflict was a certainty and soon to begin. I asked Trevor about his impression of previously meeting Presisent George W. Bush in DC; "I asked the President what he had learnt since becoming President and he replied 'I have learnt that there is good and evil in this world'"
"Is that all?!" I asked Trevor.
"Yes" replied Trevor.
I have not met a badly behaving celebrity, however, I have met so many badly behaved staff travellers my worst nightmare.
