There is not enough wingtip clearence for the A330/340 (at rwy27 end)
F_C

I'm not trying to contradict you in any way (I believe from other posts that you are in the business at the sharp end) but I am always anxious to learn.

The 330/340 apparently (from a web search) has a wingspan of a fraction under 198 feet, much wider than the 737s, 757s and 320 family commonly seen at BRS.

Elsewhere in this thread it has been suggested that the B 787 will use BRS when it comes into service. Yet this aircraft has a wingspan of 193 feet, so wouldn't it face the same problem as the 330/340?

You say the 777 is too big for BRS. Do you mean its length (242 feet)?

From what you say I presume it is the manoeuvring area that is the problem and not the runway or taxiway widths per se - leaving aside any runway length issues.
