As I originally posted this thread, I think that i'm quite justified in resurrecting it.
Mrs K & I flew in to Northrepps International Airport, aka Cromer, on saturday and I have to say that its one of the best airfields we've ever visited.
Chris Gurney made us feel very welcome, he organised transport into Cromer (free of charge) for us and a couple of microlight pilots who were camping on the airfield. He also told us where to get a taxi back, suggested the best place to get some fresh crab and made us a cup of tea.
We had a very pleasant day wandering around Cromer, did a spot of grockle-watching, strolled along the seafront, had a crab salad for lunch and eventually got a taxi back to the airfield. When I said that we were routing back south along the coast, he suggested we contact Anglia Radar & provied the frequency.
The airfield is immaculate, smooth and neatly mown, and if a Mustang can make a touch & go on it, its not that short. (493m)
So, a big Thank You to Chris and his team and a strong recommendation to visit Cromer.
