TWOTBAGS, spot on! Having worked in the airline industry for a while now (albeit not in a flying capacity
), I can say that apart from frontline/operational staff, i.e. Flight Crew, Cabin Crew and Engineers, most people in the airlines (and especially the bean counters that seem to run the show to the exclusion of everybody else these days) don't have a clue about the airline industry or what they're doing! It can actually be quite frightening at times...
