VB tell me Branson(Virgin Group) is trying to sell his 25% to Virgin Atlantic(Virgin Group/SIA). This enables Branson to pocket some more money and brings SIA into the domestic market and the much coveted Pacific route.
VB becomes VP because SIA allows the use of the name internationally,they also get an indirect foothold into the domestic market which they have wanted since Qantas floated.
SIA finally get into the Aussie market after being beaten by BA then ANZ,albeit indirectly.
