I think anyone wanting to go should do so now and not miss the refugee boat.
If you look at many threads here and listen to news of aviation, I honestly don't think there will be any heavy maintenance done in Europe, USA or Oz in less than 10 years time.
FAA and JAA will approve all the huge facilities in China/far east amd the local mechanics there will all be CASA/JAR/FAA qualified and work for a bowl of rice.
