Rider of goats isn't it going to be too late when the next election is held?

Isn't this the last EBA that the ALAEA will reside over?

Is Qantas pushing their reforms ahead earlier than planned because they fear that at the next election all the yes men will be gone?

Is it feasable that one day all engineering in Aus. will be controlled buy one labour supplier and they would then be contracted out to handle all Aus. based and overseas customer aircraft?

The jet engine overhaul in Melb. is jointly owned by Qantas and Patrick, two companies in competion but sharing labour costs within the engineering field. No loyalty required to get the job done in engineering as it is strictly controlled by procedures and law, no one need ever work harder and faster again because it is not your airline competing with the opposition.

Overseas single MRO's supply labour to competing airlines and even operate out of the same offices, the job gets done.

Interesting times ahead...............will you still be here to see it all unfold?
