Yes David it’s true that the Bugsmashing outfit grew into Jetstar with their prior system of maintenance in place. The original question from your valued member Stall Margin relates to the ALAEA and the lack of support to prevent the no-man transits when Jetstar implemented it.

He is not asking why the maintenance system is such; he wants to know why the ALAEA didn’t use its Industrial muscle to prevent it. Where were they when Virgin went down that path? It went in unopposed there as well without stoppage to any aircraft ops despite a resolution of the Exec that mass stop work meetings would take place if it ever happened.

As for the Qf lameless tarmac, I thank those behind the petition to the AIRC. Without it we would be all on nightshift by now. Full credit to every Domestic engineer and half the International ones who initiated bans without ALAEA support. We thank the members who ignored Shane, Mick, Ferdus, Tim and SF and continued ot bans despite repeated requests to get back to work. The members are strong and we will win the battle. I know this gets up your goat.

Stall Margin – read some of the other topics and take a look at glsol.

No need to throw in your membership, take part in the overthrow. It is well organized and every vote will be needed. There will be a time when the ALAEA stands up for the LAMEs and it’s not too far away. Until then we need to make sure they don’t throw everything away, they sure as hell are trying.
