Good afternoon gentlemen,
I am wondering, which degrees do SIA recognise for the cadetship? Would a 1 year degree from Australia or a 3 year distance learning degree be considered on the same degree payscale during cadetship?
Why i am asking this is because i am taking a distance learning degree atm and if the degree wont be considered in the same payscale, i might as well apply for the cadetship now, with my diploma. I am not sure who to contact at SIA. Anyone have the number or email address?
In my line (IT industry), without the necessary experience, a degree or diploma does not make a big difference thus my taking my degree course part time through distance learning. (note: this does not apply to all IT jobs, esp management related.) .. I am 24 yrs
old this year.
My point is, if i were to get through and for some reason grounded (oh god no). I will go back job searching using mainly my diploma and cont studying part time.
