I preume the 3months is just for a settling period for the eyes, however is your job safe if you were to have your med. revoked for that time? As you say, it may be best to take care of it now.
Good luck if you decide to do it, I am still a bit aprehensive, as it stands, I can see and I would always be a little nervous of any damage which may rule me out of flying for good. Would love to be rid of glasses and contacts for good though!!!!!!!!!
