Leicester,
Smack in the middle of england, grass and tarmac runway triangles, nice restaurant and facilities, lots of different and interesting planes in the hangar and it's still easy to get to without messing about with too much controlled airspace. If you are looking for something to do in town Leicester has the space museum, which is apparently worth a visit (link below)
