New Navaids for Polokwane Int'l Airport
Good News for all going into Polokwane International. Local aviation systems company just received the contract to upgrade the navaids at Polokwane. No need for diversions as a result of faulty systems.
The DME is already installed and the other systems (DVOR/DME and ILS/DME) to be installed late June 2005. Unfortunately I don't think the plates will be ready for use at the same time.
The systems (DVOR/DME) are the same as installed at FALA. (the latest technology)
