I'm living in Bahrain where we have outlets to buy beer, wine and spirits for home consumption, limited selection and expensive for sure but at least it's there. I've been told there are no such places in Qatar and you can only get alcohol in hotel restaurants.
Is that true? Not that it would put me off, I'm just curious how accurate this info is. It may be a small factor in deciding whether to leave the family in Bahrain and 'commute' to work, sort of the reverse of what Belowclouds is thinking of.
