Think your right ecj.....both those aircraft were doing, i think, VOR/DME approaches.
Since found out that the 08 glide path has been out of service so aircraft are having to do LLZ/DME approaches. If this incident is true, is this another case of confusion between the 'IOM' DME (4 miles from the airfield on final) and the ILS DME?
Can anybody confirm the incident?
