If you read through
this thread, ignore the posts in the middle about the medical, you will get some idea.
From recent posts it would seem that a total of 3000 hours of which at least 1000 are turbine type or 500 jet would get you an application form for Second Officer, (SO). I would suggest that experience at age 44 would
usually be at least ten thousand hours Civil and about half that if coming straight from the Military, assuming that you had launched into a flying career in your early twenties.
