You're right.
I had an extremely tempting offer from a law firm in Los Angeles almost 20 years ago. I was very tempted, but turned it down for reasons which seemed important at the time.
One of the biggest mistakes I've made in my life!
Would I have stayed in LA and be living in Malibu overlooking the Pacific as an attorney friend of mine does?
Or moved to a firm in San Diego and be living in a house overlooking the Pacific in La Jolla, a very pretty town just to the North, as some other friends do?
More likely the latter, but I'll never know.
Oh well, must stop dreaming and get on with some work.
(Memo to self: Start buying Lottery tickets.)
