Mayday
Gentlemen:
We have all seen our own literature, video's from the focus nights, heard and/or seen Marty Levitt. We are going into territory that is not familiar to most pilots at our airline.
We have to stop posting stuff here for the time being! Like, Saddam Hussain got his intelligence from CNN during the Gulf War, CX is getting their some of their intelligence from this forum, even if it is common knowledge to us all. If we express our opinions, fears, advantages, etc, CX will know how to play their hand. Like NR was extracting information from us (the Pilot Group) during the AEP lunches, he is getting a print out of this forum every morning (from our CX editor) which he and KB start to formulate a strategy that they think will work.
It is similar to the information they extracted from us in the survey they gave out in 1992. It was to supposedly help out a Swedish student with his post graduate work. They used it against us the very next year (after the consultants they hired to analyze the data to formulate a plan to begin Union busting).
Gentlemen, it is great to know what our fellow members are feeling, but to make it work, we need to keep it to ourselves or just our members for the next little while. We had to show where it is going to count, in your actions. If we keep CX guessing on what we are feeling, doing, or planning, it is a GREAT advantage for us.
Gentlemen, think about what you are writing or even better, don't write at all. Sometimes it is just as good, if not better, to JUST SIT A LISTEN!
There is a time to lead, there is a time to follow, and there is a time to get out of the way. Wise people know when to do all three.
Let's be smart about this Gentlemen.
