Gentlemen, just thought you would like to see the payrates that are being proposed for the new American Airlines contract. Funny how an airline in the most competitive market place can afford to pay it's 15000 (yes, fifteen thousand..!) pilots these salaries and associated benefits (ie: retirement packages worth on average 4 million USD...!). For information purposes, the 'annual salary' is calculated by multiplying the hourly rate X 1000hrs/yr (actual and credit). The hourly rates shown under each aircraft types represent, in order of listing: 1. present hourly rate 2. hourly rate on 05.01.00 3. hourly rate on 05.01.01 4. hourly rate on 05.01.02 4. overall increase! Wonder when we are going to take action to be treated equally....? Enjoy.......
