Why might you expect to not pay? You are renting the space even if you do not put your a/c in it, after all you do not get, say, a half day discount if you fly off for a day out. How would you feel if you got your a/c back after the work has been done and the hangar owner told you that your space was now occupied as you did not pay the rent?
